THE PROBLEM

  • You have an app idea but can't code
  • Traditional coding bootcamps take months
  • Hiring developers is expensive and risky
  • No-code tools are limited and inflexible
  • You waste time stuck on technical problems

THE SOLUTION

  • Build a complete app in just 6 hours
  • Use AI tools that do the coding for you
  • Deploy a real, production-ready application
  • Learn professional development workflows
  • Get expert support throughout the day

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

This isn't a lecture. Everyone builds the same app together, follow-along style -- making the same decisions, solving the same problems, deploying the same app. You'll have the link to show friends by end of day.

EVERYONE BUILDS THIS

A Real AI-Powered Web App

  • A full-stack web app with AI features
  • Real database backend (Supabase)
  • Live deployment (Vercel)
  • Working AI integration

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

The fundamentals of modern web development:

  • Scoping: What's realistic to build (and what's not)
  • Planning: Turning ideas into buildable specs
  • v0 "Vibe Coding": Using AI to generate your frontend
  • Frontend: How user interfaces actually work
  • Backend: Connecting to databases and APIs
  • AI Integration: Adding AI features to your app

WHAT YOU'LL LEAVE WITH

  • A deployed app you built (with your name on it)
  • Basic understanding of how modern apps are made
  • Confidence that you can build software
  • Clear sense of what you'd need to learn to build your own ideas

LEARN FROM AN EXPERT

Callum Holt teaching at a buildDay workshop

Callum Holt

Callum is the founder of 13Labs and has spent over a decade building software for startups and enterprises. After discovering AI-powered development tools like v0, he started teaching non-technical founders how to build their own applications.

His mission is to democratise app development and empower anyone with an idea to bring it to life. buildDay is the result of dozens of one-on-one coaching sessions distilled into a structured, repeatable workshop format.

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY

Real feedback from buildDay attendees.

buildDay attendees at Stone & Chalk, Melbourne

"I don't have a lot of skills or know-how with coding, but Callum introduced us to v0, Supabase and it was very well explained. Pretty much blown away with what we could have accomplished in just a couple of hours."

Paul

buildDay Attendee

"I love tactile learning where you're hands on. As opposed to all the courses you can do online, it's really good to be part of a group with a presenter, live questions and answers, and build something in real time."

Regional Attendee

Drove 3 hours to attend

"I really wanted to come here to learn how to actually deploy stuff so people can test it and you can iterate. We didn't realise how powerful it was to just use these tools — we thought we had to do everything manually."

James

buildDay Attendee

"I quite enjoyed the process. I also learned a lot from people and had really nice chats with people around me as well. It's helpful for me to go through all of the processes today so that I can continue working on my project in the future."

Millie

Built a resume helper

"It's constantly evolving — that's the exciting thing. Previously you may be able to do things at a 20% level. With AI, you can do it five times better. You can always do things that you don't think you can actually do before."

Raymond

buildDay Attendee

"Callum explained it at a very good level for somebody with a bit of technical knowledge. I heard about these automation tools and the great things you can do with them — going to implement it right away."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No coding experience required. Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. We use AI tools that handle the technical complexity, so you can focus on building your idea. If you can describe what you want in plain English, you can build it.

Just bring your laptop (Mac or Windows) and your charger. We'll send you an email closer to the day with accounts to create. That's it.

Yes. You'll deploy a real, production-ready application that's live on the internet with a public URL. It will have authentication, a database, and all the features you built. You can share it with users immediately, and it will continue working after the workshop ends.

We maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio (maximum 20 participants) so you get personalised attention. Instructors are always available to help debug issues, answer questions, and guide you through challenges. Plus, you'll be learning alongside peers who can help too.

You keep everything you built, plus access to all the course materials, tool guides, and resources. You'll also get an invitation to our alumni community where you can ask questions, share progress, and connect with other builders. Many participants continue building and join our buildAcademy programme for deeper learning.

All the tools we teach have generous free tiers that are perfect for learning and small projects. Vercel, Supabase, and GitHub are all free to start. As your app grows and gets more users, you may eventually need to upgrade, but you'll be generating revenue by then. We teach you how to monitor usage and optimise costs.

Everyone builds the same application together, follow-along style. This ensures everyone succeeds and learns the fundamentals and principles of modern web development. The goal isn't just to have an app at the end -- it's to understand how apps are made so you can build your own ideas afterwards.

Full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the workshop. For cancellations within 7 days, we offer a credit towards a future workshop. We want to make sure every spot is filled, so please let us know as early as possible if your plans change.
